Some Pleasant Moments of Udaipur

Hi, myself Phillip Lahm from the Richstag city of Germany. I work as a software engineer, but yon can also place me in the list of avid travelers. Till date I have visited various tourist destinations of the world, very recently I have visited India. Now I am back to my home but I still have several pleasant memories of India trip. Here, I want to share some memorable moments of my trip to Udaipur, an enchanting city of Rajasthan state of India.

From Berlin, I reached at New Delhi by Lufthansa Airlines and set out for Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur by a hired cab. On sixth day of my trip I headed for the town of Udaipur, popularly known as the land of valiant warriors. As I reached Udaipur after prolonged hours, I felt that I was in a dreamland as the entire city is dominated by lofty marble palaces. I was informed by my tour guide that the city of Udaipur was founded by Rana Udai Singh. After my arrival to Udaipur, I passed rest of that day in my hotel room.

Next day, at first I visited the massive City Palace, the winter-residence of Maharana. As I reached near the palace it hold my attention through its wonderful exterior beauty, while inside the palace several wonders were waiting for me. Inside the palace there were various attractions namely Suraj Gokhada, Badi Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Bhim Vilas, Chini Chitrashala, Zenana Mahal, Fateh Prakash and Darbar Mahal. In fact, the structures were so lively that they just took me to the days of medieval culture. After visiting the Palace, I came outside to cover other tourist places of Udaipur. I head towards the popular Jagdish temple, which is in close vicinity to the palace. Heavily ornamented interiors and sculpted figures inside the temple are really marvelous instances of dexterity of the artisans.

In the afternoon, I visited the beautiful gardens of Udaipur city and enjoyed a boat ride in the lake Pichola. By late evening I went back to hotel and elapsed that entire night dreaming of a sweet moment. On last day of my Udaipur trip I visited other interesting places such as Rose Garden, Jag temple, Moti Magri, Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal and the Sajjangarh Palace. At each place, I felt immense presence of an excellent blending of royal dignity and heavenly natural beauty, about which earlier I only read in books. Amongst various attractions of Udaipur, the most outstanding was the Sahelion ki Bari (Garden of Maidens), which has lovely fountains, delicate carved kiosks and marble elephants. Even today, while sleeping in my cottage at Richsatg, usually I feel that I am being soaked by cool sprays of the fountain of the Garden of Maidens.
